The first album from Steafán Hanvey, a folk/soul singer from Northern Ireland, impresses with a stripped down simplistic hold. His debut begins with his first single “Rooms” which proves to be edgier with a far rougher riff combined with mellow folk-sounds that continue throughout the remaining twelve tracks. HoneyMoon Junkies gives the listener space and makes it easier to enter his acoustic creation more than once. The album offers minimalist melodies replenished by moments of nearly absolute silence keeping you in rapt attention.
